Start of Vacay

So as mentioned last night, my actual vacay has just started (^^,) I guess partly that’s why my body sort of “gave way” to some minor discomfort; it’s because my defenses to stay able to work and move about has just gone down. Anyway, I promise to eat properly and nap whenever I can and sleep long hours at night. 

Cecille just came by a few minutes ago to say hi because she was utterly bored and had nothing to do So I sat in the car for a while and we talked a bit and made plans to go back to Som’s soon. I told her I also just lit a candle to bid 2009 and welcome 2010, said my thanks and special prayers. (Won’t write na about details of my ritual.) I realize that the weather is so great and I loved it when the sunshine was on my face, as in I totally loved it. Anyway after a while she left to check out the nearby supermarket. It was nice, that simple and short visit (^^,) 

So now I’m back in my room. As for me, I’m far from being bored because I have just organized my iTunes files to upload songs in my new green iPod (^^,) I am also decluttering my room as my New Year candle burns. This cleaning up should help align my energy channels and help me recover from everything.

Tonight was cheese night and great conversation night

I went to my sister’s place to have bonding time with Cecile; Cecile brought cheese for us. She brought pasteurized goat cheese, cheese with pepper, and aged edam - they were all so good (^^,) We had sparkling grape with it, after which my sister and I had Blue Mountain coffee. Our evening started around 6 PM, and we were just chit chatting the whole time, until we realized it was almost 10, and we didn’t notice the time at all. However, we went back to talking and then had some of the leek and onion soup and roast chicken that my sister cooked earlier today for her best friend Jennee. I also had greens (with wansoy) mixed with olive oil and balsamic. Yum. 

So, next thing we realized it was 1 AM So we called it a night (^^,) It was fun and relaxing and the stories were all inspiring and beautiful. 

Tonight, I intend to sleep long. I need to take care of my health. I’m thinking that the stuff I’m experiencing now are all due to late nights, holiday stress, shift in working style (this was effortless; i just noticed that lately I am able to work for a long time without any pauses at all), plus a recent resolution that was, and still is, quite hard for me, and I’m still trying to cope with it. However, the stress should be addressed and I think sleeping long hours should help, plus I have made a minor change in my eating habits, and no it’s not a diet because they never work for me. It’s just a minor change on certain habits and manners. So, I should sleep soon and hope for the best. I do hope that all efforts from this year come into fruition in the coming year.

Blue Nails 2 (Hands) :D

With reference to the previous entry (I know, my hands are not beautiful :p Hehe.)

Blue Nails

Went to Lotus Spa earlier today with my sister to get a Healing Treatment for our hands (^^,) First there was the super nice peppermint scrub, then our nails were trimmed, filed, and cleaned, then soaked in lavender-scented paraffin (super great), then a 45-minute hand massage, then we had our nails painted. Hers is silvery blue and mine is BLUE There won’t be kendo today and for the next Saturday, so I guess now is the perfect time to super pamper our hands While my hands were being taken care of, I dozed off because it was so relaxing and my mind was also much calmer and quieter than it was for the past several days. 

Prior to our hand spa, we had hearty lunch at Yaku (^^,) Love love love Japanese food (^^,)

We went around a bit then had coffee at Segafredo before going home early. Now, I just woke up from a nice dreamless nap

At My Lola’s for Lunch

As with most Christmasses, we went to my grandma’s home (my mom’s mom) for lunch. It’s nice because it’s all so homey (^^,) She can hardly walk because of her weak knees but she prepared the whole thing for all of us and decorated her house for visitors. My grandma’s like those nice warm comforting grandmas whom you associate with warm, home-cooked meals, freshly baked pudding, floral curtains, and thick blankets (^^,) So, she fed us and insisted she take care of everything despite her shaky hands. She also gave us presents, most of which she made herself. She gave me a yoga bolster which she made (^^,) 

Yay Green Shuffle (^^,)

I was going to buy myself the new iPod Shuffle for running purposes and several other reasons I was able to come up with when I saw the new version of Shuffle However, the last few times I went to the mall, I always ran out of time to check out the Apple Center so I never got to check it out. Then, tonight, when we opened presents, I received one from my sister (tengkoo) And it’s green The color I wanted to get for me So, yay

Homemade Mango Cheesecake

So, Farmville has turned into Presentville Everyone’s excited about opening ONE HUNDRED PRESENTS! I will open some then accept more gifts still in my notification list

Garden Breakfast

My sister woke me up this morning, loudly asking me if I wanted taho. Groggily and without opening my eyes, I said yes. Then I tried going back to sleep but my mind is already wide awake, so I got up. (Since Sunday I have not been able to sleep long.) Then breakfast was prepared in the backyard again, and we ate there. 

Now, I have to fix my room because it’s been a mess for quite some time and I shopped yesterday for stuff again. I also haven’t wrapped any presents except those two I gave to a couple of kendo friends, Cecille F. and Cecile M. (I gave the super good chocolate cupcakes to Denise.) However, I am starting to feel sleepy again. In any case, there’s nothing planned for today so I basically got lots of free time (^^,)

I’m still feeling somewhat lost and partly hollow. I hope things get much better soon, though. 

My New Tiny Notebook

I bought this tiny super-kawaii Japanese-themed notebook. It comes with a tiny pen. I just finished placing some stickers in it On the cover it says:

It was the last mug of Country Goodness Milk Chocolate at that time I just had to take a photo (and upload them really late) because I have periods when I am so addicted to this milk chocolate drink. It’s a really good alternative to the Meiji drink I had in Japan

The End

Another step to fulfill resolutions for this Year of Resolutions.

I feel greatly pained by this step, though I guess it’s part of the whole process. Perhaps it is because of certain memories and how real and tangible the end is. Perhaps it’s the whole thing about an actual end to the story. There are millions of other possibilities, but this particular thing has been truly signed and sealed. 

And so I feel this huge pain in my chest. It is done. There was laughter, but it has ended, and there was only the cold wind, and the silence. 

A quick, quiet hug, and I immediately switched to thinking that things will all be okay. Getting home seemed to take forever, though I barely remember where I passed. 

And so I begin.

Post-Party UCC

So, after the party, some of us decided to stick around to chat and have a bit of girl talk, after which my sister, Mao Mao,  Allan, and I went to UCC for coffee. I wanted to get the usual Sumiyaki but missed Vienna all of a sudden so I chose to get that with my chocolate crepe Yum.

Some Changes T.T

Practice was really good today and it was amazing I lasted and I was not exactly dead nor panting and dying. So practice today was a happy thing. However the girls were moved to the boys’ side though we practiced among ourselves, together with Inoue-san. Takahashi-sensei taught some guys who were selected to practice with him. So, there. T.T

In the end we had kakari keiko with Kato-sensei because he’s leaving because he’s returning to Tokyo T.T

Then, next year, Yukita-san will let us know about new kyu, so our batch may eventually get to practice Wednesdays. But the next Saturdays will be pretty much like today, so we won’t be always under Takahashi-sensei T.T 

So anyway, today was the last practice of the year. We also had our yearend party which was so much fun and everyone got prizes and I happened to get one of the prizes donated by Takahashi-sensei (^^,)

Everyone got loot bags (yay Meiji love Meiji) which were given away by Yukita-san and Yamanishi-sensei, wearing Santa hats and funny face masks

Fortunately my sister brought her camera so we were able to take pictures of people and we had ours (some of the girls) taken with all the sensei (^^,) Happies (**,)

Okay, bigla tayong nagshift from T.T to (^^,) Hahaha.

Ruined Ruins Plan :T

I just suddenly remembered the old plans to go to Cafe by The Ruins, and well basically those plans were ruined

So yeah, I want to go back there again and wonders if… (^^,) Well in any case… (^^,)

Last night I fell asleep with a slight giggle because I remember the two めんがぬ incidents (lmao)

Another Clutter-free Cabinet

So, I’m taking a short break from practicing in writing the first Kanji of the days of the week. You know, like what kids do

Earlier, I cleaned up one of my closed cabinets. Previously, that’s where I kept my box of “ingredients”, containers of miscellaneous stuff, purchased gift wrappers, a small tub of hand bags and pouches, a small tub of bikinis and beach outfits, a small tub of gift card materials, a jar of money. 

Now it just has:

• A huge empty box for later use; have yet to figure it out
• Rolls of gorgeous gift wrappers in beautiful material
• Rolls of gift card paper
• The tub of gift card materials
• The tub of swimwear
• The tub of hand bags and pouches
• A jar of candles
• A set of containers, each containing miscellaneous stuff and money for Something Foundation

I took out/away:

• My four-element and compass kit (I threw away the old feather because it has been eaten by bugs, then, suddenly, I found a new one, still whole and unused, so I was able to immediately replace the one I threw away.) 
• A small container of foreign coins from various places
• A small container of gemstones (will cleanse them and put them to use)
• A travel spell chest (I only kept the candle, and the travel talisman, and the tiny world map, but got rid of everything else. It was only passed on to me and never used, so the bugs and dust got to it first.)
• The Red Chest of something I can’t describe here - perhaps I can use certain pieces. Maybe it’s because it has never been actually imbued with anything so maybe it’s about time. Haha.
• A bottle of rose water. I’ve put it in the bathroom. Before I took a bath tonight I had it energized.
  
• A container of tea lights, which I also kept in the bathroom for the oil burner. 
• A set of swimwear (tossed it for the garage sale)
• Cotton pouch for keeping small pieces of clothing during travel, which is as old as my Bangkok trip (tossed for the garage sale)
• A couple of US paper bills (I was so surprised I had that money kept hehe)
• My leftover Japanese coins from my Japan trip (makes me think of the Meiji drink)
• My eye pillow
• My runes are already taken out anyway.

So now my cabinet is quite clean and organized.

Quickie

I am stepping out (again) in a while so this will just be quick. A quickie update from yesterday. Besides, I am achey all over and Sunday-sleepy and Sunday-lazy. 

So, yesterday was yearend shiai. I lost Not that I’m elated about it, but wala, that’s part of practice. I feel grateful, though, because of course, I always learn something in every shiai. Note to self, after a very painful hit, I should get myself together right away Well because it was a random match, and I fought with this muscly strong guy who struck one after another. So far, I was aware of what was happening. Then at one point, he intended to hit my do, but it landed on my right thigh, and it was a VERY strong hit. I paused and felt some kind of electrical sensation travel down my leg, and the part that got hit seemed to vibrate with an almost audible droning sound. After that, I was disoriented all throughout the rest of the match and was trying to move my leg, and I just tried to do what I can until he scored and time was up. 

Of course, it is now greenish purple Mawawala naman sya so okay lang. Besides, this guy really fights like that, I mean he’s like that whoever his opponent is. So at least I know he’s not deliberately trying to harm or impress. After practice, we got to talk and he was saying sorry but I said not to worry because it’s part of the whole practice. He explained he was used to having taller opponents and it’s just now he fought with someone as short as I am, so he miscalculated and hit too low. Hehe. I felt… so short. But anyhoo, I’m not really injured and the bruise will heal like all my other bruises. Mas matagal pa ngang magheal ang ibang bagay kesa sa bruise ko e

Kendo was just sort of bitin lang again because I thought there was going to be waza before shiai but we jumped into shiai right away. Buti na lang there’s one more practice so, yay (^^,)

After practice I got a token for my attendance (89%) and our lovable sensei gave us all tenugi (^^,) Arigatou gozaimasu! (^^,)

Then it was the usual dinner with Mao Mao, Allan-sempai, Denise, and my sister, plus Amanda.

So now, I have to start getting ready because still have to step out. 

Last note, i tried not to stare and steal glances ^.^ I realize it actually helps calm me down. 

Shelled Chestnuts :D

To add to the previous entry, after dinner, my dad gave my mom chestnuts. So I stayed at the dining table and waited for my shelled chestnuts So while chatting with my mom, she was feeding me shelled chestnuts (Mogget’s favorite).

In a totally different context

No, it’s not Claw Daddy, the restaurant. It’s my dad, mastering the crabs on the table.

They know I am the ultimate tamad queen when it comes to eating crab. I would sit beside my mom and move my plate near hers. It’s her signal to place the crabmeat and crabfat on MY plate too.

Tonight, since I’m still working and I wasn’t hungry yet for dinner at 6:30, I didn’t eat right away. Then, after a while, my mom told me that my dad set aside ready-to-eat crab meat for moi Yay I can eat crab for dinner

So, I feel much better now I was very annoyed for the last hour because of some loony whom I can’t name and because of something I don’t want to be part of, but I am, plus because of the anxiety I’m feeling about the outcome I wrote of. But ANYWAY, crab thoughts (^^,)
